With a comprehensive background in construction and structural engineering, Butch serves as the Vice President and Project Manager at Apex Construction Company Inc. since 1987. He holds an Associate of Science in both Civil Engineering Technology and Building Construction Technology from the State Technical Institute at Memphis, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Polytechnic Institute, Georgia. Butch’s extensive project experience includes notable works like the Elysian Beach Resort, Sugar Mill Condominiums, and the UVI Sports and Fitness Center, showcasing his expertise in overseeing complex construction projects along with a solid foundation in highway engineering, environmental engineering and hydraulic systems. His role at Apex Construction, encompassing over three decades, reflects his dedication to excellence.
As the Vice President of the Heavy Equipment Division since September 1986, Ronnie brings a goal-oriented approach to the team. With a Bachelor of Arts in both Mass Communication and Business Administration from Oakwood College, Huntsville, Alabama, his leadership is marked by a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business objectives. Ronnie's expertise lies in overseeing heavy equipment operations, from maintenance and repair to dispatch and safety. He manages expansion activities of the division, including rentals, debris removal and demolition contracts. In addition, Ronnie's role involves supervising mechanics and other garage personnel, ensuring smooth operations. His commitment to the company is complemented by his active community involvement, notably as the President of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, St. Thomas Chapter, and his achievements in martial arts, holding two black belts in Aikido and Jiu-Jitsu.
Heidi joined the family business in 2022 after spending 30 years as an IT Manager with Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she also received her BBA in Information Systems. With an MBA from La Sierra University, Heidi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as the manager of Front Office Operations. Known for her strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail, Heidi ensures the continued operational excellence St Thomas clients have come to expect from APEX Construction. Beyond her professional commitments, she serves as Assistant Director of Youth Ministry at her church and enjoys reading, traveling, and embracing the island life.
